It’s BnT Mate, Not GnT!
With its grand columns and tall glass windows, the Terrace Grill & Bar is a perfect venue for a proper afternoon tea. Located in Picadilly, it’s a perfect stopping point for shoppers in need of something stronger than a cup of Chamomile. With such a wide range of herbal and fruity spirits (Bulldog gin with fresh lychee or Beefeater 24 infused with Japanese green tea to name a few), mother’s ruin has never seemed so glamorous.
We opted for a more modern take on the classic with a trade up to the bottomless Prosecco option; either way, expect beautiful savory treats, homemade scones and delicious pastries. We had a great birthday brunch at Le Meridien Piccadilly. I was looking at Timeout and Nudge for somewhere to celebrate a birthday with what Le Meridien Piccadilly call B ‘N T which is a combo of bottomless brunch and afternoon tea.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere although wasn’t busy, I mean it was a rare sunny Sunday in August in London. The setting was lovely, the Terrace Grill and Bar resembles a large conservatory and looks out over Piccadilly.
The tiered trays came with sweet and savoury scones, cakes and the service was fabulous, especially, as we never had empty glasses.
It is a very relaxed place to spend an afternoon. We sat there for hours finishing our food, tea and prosecco which they did not mind at all.
